Influence of climatic environment on power of Diesel Generator Set
Generator power and operating conditions are affected by the environment, especially the ambient temperature, as well as the altitude at which the generator set is located. In general, the following common conditions can adversely affect diesel generator sets:
1. Rainwater;
2, dust or sand;
3. If the diesel generator set is operated by the sea, the environment such as salt water or fog can easily oxidize the surface layer of the diesel generator set;
4, the air contains other gases as chemical corrosion gases, such as sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, etc.;
Therefore, in order to ensure the normal operation of the generator, we must fully consider the impact of various complex climates on the operation of diesel generator sets. For general diesel generator sets, different measures should be taken in different environments to adapt to different climates.
Environmental factors such as humidity, altitude and temperature will have an impact on the operation of diesel generator sets. Other factors will also affect the normal operation of diesel generator sets, which will be more complicated in practical applications. First, the power calibrated by the diesel engine is for a specific environmental condition. Environmental conditions refer to the ambient atmospheric pressure, temperature and relative humidity of the diesel engine operating location, which have a great impact on the performance and efficiency of the diesel engine. When the ambient atmospheric pressure decreases, the temperature rises and the relative humidity increases, the dry air drawn into the cylinder of the diesel engine will decrease, and the power of the diesel engine will decrease. On the contrary, the power of the diesel engine will increase.
